I’m not really into New Year’s Resolutions, but I do make a list of goals every now and then. A friend of mine recently told me about the BINGO vision board trend, which she learned about from Tiktok. I got excited about the idea of gamifying my goals and hopes for the new year, so I jumped on the bandwagon.
I like the concept because I don’t have to pressure myself to achieve every goal or resolution on a list to win. I actually have many opportunities to win with each BINGO I achieve. A blackout would be nice but it’s kind of a bonus.
On my card, I have mixed in “S.M.A.R.T. goals” with hopes and dreams for the year. For instance, Getting new business cards is a “S.M.A.R.T. goal” because I have complete power to make it happen. “Work with a new (to me) publisher or producer” is a hope, since I can’t force anyone to work with me. It’s still worth including because it motivates me to do what I can to increase the odds to make it happen, like keeping my demos up to date and networking.

I designed my BINGO card with Canva (the free version), and I’ll use the program to mark off the squares.
I thought about getting a group of others to play BINGO with me, but decided it would be best to only compete against myself and the 2025 clock. But, it would be great to hear about others doing their own BINGO vision board card, so if you think you might try, let me know in the comments, and good luck!
