About
My two fondest memories of childhood involve traveling with my family, and recording improvised radio plays on a tape recorder. So it’s no surprise that I left my home in the Pacific Northwest 6 days after graduating from college with two goals; 1. To travel the world, and 2. To work in the entertainment field.
Armed with a theater degree from the U. of Washington, a talent for learning foreign languages, and a background in dance and fitness instruction, I spent the next ten years in six different countries and four different US states, choreographing, performing, and teaching English, and then another few years sailing around the world, hosting game shows and karaoke on cruise ships.
For me, the best part of working as an entertainer has always been making people laugh, I also find that I am much too greedy to play just one character in a story. This is why I am drawn to narration and improv.
My favorite stories are light and fun, and I enjoy the ones where the main, likeable characters stay alive- but I’m also willing to do the dramatic stuff. I have a degree in drama after all!
I live in Seattle with my boyfriend, my cat, and the occasional foster bunny. When I’m not narrating, I’m usually teaching (improv and audiobook production), mentoring new narrators through the APA’s DEI Mentorship program, performing onstage, and geeking out on brain science, linguistics, and RPGs in their many forms.
