Social media can be scary. No matter what you say, no matter how careful you are, there will always be people ready to share what they found wrong with your post. . There are even people who capitalize on this fact by being as outrageous as possible. They get a lot of views and comments on their posts. If there are people out there making posts go viral by trying to upset people, that means that trying not to upset anyone will result in fewer followers. This is how social media works. The less controversial, the less traffic, so when you post content online, you may as well be authentic. If you are used to watering down your content to avoid negative comments, consider that there will always be people who disagree with you, and their comments will actually help your post get more views. But your true and unique opinions will resonate with like-minded people. However, If you are one of those people who tries to be controversial just to get more views,  just stop. That’s how Flat-earther movements form, and we just don’t need any more of that!
